    As per Manitoba Health, individuals that visited Bourkevale Community Centre canteen on February 16, between 2:30 and 5:00 may have been exposed to the measles virus. It is recommended that individuals monitor for symptoms until March 10. For more information on what to do if you’ve been exposed to the measles virus, please visit Manitoba Health’s website.

    New in the Skate Room: Puzzle & Games Library

    We’ve added a puzzle and games library to the skate room. Leave a game, take a game. Items are free to borrow and take home, not just for use in the skate room. One rule: please only borrow one game or puzzle at a time. We’re currently looking for more kid-focused games and puzzles. If you have some to donate, we’d love the addition!

  • Kids Hockey is back

    Kids Hockey is back

    Bourkevale is pleased to announce the return of introduction to hockey sessions starting Monday, January 12th. Children aged 4-9 are invited to join for FREE weekly sessions running every Monday at 6:30-7:30 PM from January 12th to March 23rd (excluding Louis Riel Day). These casual sessions will be focused on basic skating and puck handling drills as well as possible scrimmages.  Participants must provide their own helmets and may bring their own skates or borrow from Bourkevale’s skate library (subject to availability)  Please reach out to mail to: hockey@bourkevale.com to register or feel free to simply drop in.

    Join us every Wednesday at 7pm as we head out from the Community Centre to explore our neighbourhood and other parts of the city connected by Winnipeg’s growing bike path network. These are relaxed, social rides that move at the pace of our slowest rider, everyone is welcome. It’s a great chance to meet neighbours, enjoy the outdoors, and see how bike-friendly our city is becoming. Rides return to Bourkevale Community Centre by 8pm unless noted otherwise.
