Bourkevale Community Centre is doing our own version of “Table for 1200!”
Our ambition is to bring as many of our neighbours together for an evening of food, friendship and fun. We’ve chosen the theme of Table for 75 to begin celebrating Bourkevale Community Centre’s 75th anniversary coming in October.
On Saturday, June 15th between 3 – 9pm we will be closing Assiniboine Avenue and our ambition to have 75 tables filled with our neighbours lined up along the street that evening.
Where: At the end of your street along Assiniboine Ave. We’ll start the table at the corner of Ferry and Assiniboine and continue East along Assiniboine for as far as we can go.
Who: You and your neighbors. You are welcome to invite friends from outside the community, but to ensure we can support in the best way we are encouraging and promoting this event as primarily for residents.
How: We need everyone to bring their own table, chairs and food. Everyone is welcome to bring their bbq’s, music and coolers. Bring food to share or just enough for your family. The point is to have a meal together, get to know each other and celebrate our incredible community.
Note: We will have a limited number of tables and chairs available at the Community centre for use that evening.
