Pay at the door.
Our type of dance is “couple pattern dancing”. Some of the dance steps are similar to steps in single line dance, except we move in a line around the outside of a dance floor, leaving the centre open for regular couple dance, like foxtrot, waltz, polka, etc.
We use old time/country western music which may be different from used at line dance. Couples learn a sequence of dance steps for each pattern (commit to memory) so we can all do the same same steps in the line, just by naming the pattern.
We usually ask new dancers to patten already knowing how to do the basic social dance steps: fox, waltz, polka.
Pattern dance is Bourkevale’s longest running program!
